เครือข่ายที่ยั่งยืนพร้อมเกิดกิจกรรมที่ทำงานร่วมกันได้

This activity is under the Disaster Preparedness Training & Capacity Building Program.  The main idea of the workshop is to build up the capacity of the disaster management committee who passed the disaster preparedness training course during 2008 -2010.

The committee will have a chance to share their experiences in disaster preparedness and prevention as well as to upgrade the knowledge about the disaster management.  The committee will become more skilful and more energetic in disaster management.   The outcomes of the workshop are as follows:

1.  The community disaster management committee had an opportunity to review their own roles and responsibilities as well as to acquire new knowledge and information which will benefit them in disaster management in their community, for example: getting to know the guidelines for coordination and seeking support from the government sector when disasters take place.

2. The committee can adapt the best practices learned from other communities’ committee to apply for the best benefit of their own communities

3.  The committee have been more aware of the significance of disaster preparedness and management networking, by means of preparedness, prevention and assistance, at different levels:   community, sub-district, district, province and diocesan levels

4.  It is an opportunity for the DISACs and the target communities, those being trained and those just joining the program this year, to meet each other and plan their work in preparedness, prevention and assistance during and after disasters.

5. It encourages the community disaster management committee to push the Local Administration Offices as the nearest funding organization in the community to agree to the planning for disaster management and thus, propose the activity budget plan to the concerned authority concerned
